Coral and Silver Necklace

A classic coral necklace from Ecuador, with a central sucre coin marked Republica del Ecuador 1884, which was named after Latin American political leader Antonio José de Sucre. There is a small brass cross joining the coin to the necklace of coral and brass beads. The small coins are from 1889 and 1895, one on each side.
27.5 inches (70 cm) interior circumference, 160 grams. Late 19th – early 20th century.
